Night On the Town

I'm finding out more & more these days that there's more to Memphis than meets the eye. Last Saturday was the Addys, a supercool awards show where creatives from all around the city are recognized for unprecedented work. We began the night in Victorian Village at the Mollie Fontaine Lounge – a gorgeous historic mansion turned lounge-eatery [I oooed & aaahed the whole time we were there.] Then it was off to Millingwood Hall for the main event where we were met with yummy Memphis eats and bedazzled by a huge surveillance camera ice sculpture. Ben headed up the design and theme of this year's show – an imaginary communist ad federation threatening to punish creatives for subversive design. He made six of these 'Best Of' awards that moved and flashed during the ceremony. It was such a great show!

Afterwards, everyone headed over to the Beauty Shop restaurant in Cooper Young to celebrate. The food was to die for [seriously, if you're ever in this neck of the woods, you should check it out. We may just go back again this weekend.] The perfect ending to a perfect evening.
